The Forsus Fatigue Resistant Device includes a unique coaxial spring design. This feature addresses the issue of fatigue failure enabling reliable performance throughout the course of treatment.
Other options were limited to fixed intraoral devices with known breakage concerns. Other appliances – including headgear are less suitable due to requirement for patient compliance. It is designed to be a simple “out of the box” appliance, allowing chairside installation in one appointment. It does not require removal of the arch wire or
bracket for placement.
The Forsus corrector has a compact size, to help the patient feel less discomfort. The spring and telescoping cylinder design, means it will not bow outward under compression. This linear motion of the spring and consistently applied light force minimises discomfort and assists with durability.
The open coil spring assembly design aids in hygiene, minimising food traps and allowing food to be brushed out of the device easily.
